This series of 3 workshops will start with:

Week 1: Friday, February 7th from 1pm - 3pm at Ovid Fire Hall, Ovid
  • Introduction to Precision Agriculture
  • Components of Precision Ag Equipment
  • Agricultural management philosophy

Week 2: Tuesday, March 3rd from 1pm - 3pm at Ovid Fire Hall, Ovid
  • Precision soil sampling vs. grid sampling
  • Soil electric conductivity (EC) and how to measure It
  • Site specific management and variable rate applications
  • Principles of mapping and its importance to PA

Week 3: Friday, April 3rd from 1pm - 3pm at Ovid Fire Hall, Ovid
  • Introduction to NDVI
  • Economics of using Precision Agriculture
  • Methodology and evaluation Precision Agriculture
